Thought it was about time for an update
Things have slowed a little over Xmas New Year!! period Plus it,s been a wee bit "HOT"
Still working on the firewall This has been a major!!! Lucky for mate who's an old school panel beater He has spent the last few weekends rebuilding almost half of it. Should last me for a few years In that time I hope to locate a good one on the Mainland and ship it across.......... when the better half forgives me on the amount i have already spent!!
I seem to have spent a life time cleaning up all the small parts :o
Anyway have started primming in the last couple of days. The roof was a mission as a previous owner had brush painted it!! Bonnet and interior panels have been a peace of cake "No Bog"!!
I'm using International Yacht Paint Hoping it will last [If it works in water I'm shaw it will work on land:D]
The bottom pic is of the drive shaft to the Salisbury diff Yes it is pretty short worked out at 500mm between centers:eek: so will just have to wait and see if it lasts
Will do another update soon:D

That looks like my firewall! I'm looking for a replacement too. I will post some pics of how mine is coming along very soon. Down to the chassis now, and the panels are in the house so I can gaze fondly at them and occasionall strip some paint of them.
Some chassis welding this weekend.....
Cheers!
John
P.S. Keep going!
And the missing photos i was trying to add earlier :)

Looking good mate:cool:. I was wondering where you'd got to, so it's nice to see you're back onto it and making progress.
That bulkhead looks like it's going to be a fair bit of work even just to make it okay for a few years while you find a replacement. Best of luck with it.
Cheers
John B (also a "Lostkiwi":D)
Well being having fun this week:) The fire wall is almost finished "yeah ha" !!!
Spent this arvo mocking up making sure everything lines up. A few small adjustments tomorrow and i can then pull her back down for the big paint up:D
There was more work required on the fire wall than originally anticipated But I'm sure it will still work out cheaper than shipping a better one in. [at this stage]
Will post a few pics of the rebuilt fire wall in the next couple of days
But for now heres a few of her looking more like she should:cool:

That's all coming together nicely mate
Its looking to be a ripper. W.
Here's are a few pic's of the almost finished Firewall
As can be seen it's been a rather big job! Thanks to having some great mates who have dedicated a lot of there spare time so far. With a lot more hours to come
No replacement panels have been bought so far for the firewall all have been fabricated on Island! which has been a huge saving!
Both door pillars have been completely replaced. Same with both floor pans Also numerous patches have been added to hide the moth holes:cool:
