That's looking great, mate. I can imagine how much work there was in that firewall (I'm still looking for one myself...don't feel like doing all that work...).
I'm looking forward to seeing the end product!

Impressive, Neil! I'll race you to the finish post.
Actually, I'd have my money on you. I hasn't really stopped raining in sixteen months, which is all well and good except that it's slowing down my painting!

Hi Lostkiwi,
looking at your pics of the firewall is great. Now I know what I have to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.
I have got the exact same trouble spot in my firewall. Might need to trouble you for some pointers soon.
Thanks.

Just a quick update
Things have slowed up in the last few weeks due to work commitments
But have manged to get the fire wall bolted in place with most of fittings installed The wire loom is turning out to be a bit of a nightmare Still deciding on what I'm going to do Ether buy a new one or perceive with the old one and probably Chase gremlins until i buy a new one:eek: ............might just buy a new one
Clutch is all plumb in. With just the line from the brake master cylinder down to the junction fitting to go and she can be bleed up.
Anyway here's a few more pic's

Bloody great thread!
Love the pics too.
I'm still here and loving the thread too. Outstanding effort - both in the actual rebuild and the provision of photo's all the way through. Keep it up - we're soaking it all in:cool:.
Starting to look the goods now mate.
More than twelve months after cutting the first wire..................
I spent this week sorting out the wiring!! I had labeled it all But not very well!!:( [my labels had fallen off]
What a mission!!!! I'm no sparky!!
After i had thought it was back the right way! i stood back turned away shut my eyes and connected the battery.................................
Looked around to see no puffs of smoke or worse still flames!!!:D
With a smile on my face i filled the fuel tank. turned the key and watched the fuel go up thru the filter then the fuel bowl, pumped the carby and she fired into life!!:D:D
And ran sweet as a nut!!
Put a smile on my face:cool:
