Hi Phoenix
Your park lamp lens is in the mail, with enclosed note, I took it off the FFR it is near new when I got it home and washed and polished it only then did I notice that some PLEEB of a squaddy had stubbed his smoke out on it, bet it was CM----F bloody sunday soldiers, oops, sorry general Carswell!! Incisor and I hit Paxton this morning, me for ffr bits Incisor for bits for his 59 command reconnaissance (out of the 2nd contract) he is now a member of REMLR. they now just give me the key to the compound and away I go so if you can't obtain it down there let us know and I get it and send it down. as for the the blue thing i couldn't find one on these wrecks could be a unit mod, Phil Hastings may know,
I didn't read your post till this a'noon about the little hoops :?: they are called FOOTMAN LOOPS usually held on by rivets (i prefer screws and nuts brass) next time that I am up there i will scource some, you may be able to buy them new from a canvas canopy /awning supply place, the little fork at the back  :?: is that the one welded to the gall body capping, if so, that is part of the corner piece best thing is to copy it in round rod bend it up and get your mate/mechanic to weld it on ,copy angle from opposite side. Here endith this afternoons instructions on how to keep Grover happy

Lol, thanks.
I only asked about the hoops because I thought that I might catch you before you left. WHen I get a chance i'm going to go to the local mast maker and see if he has something close, i'd be surprised if he didn't.
I'll make sure that I keep you two scavangers in mind next time I need something. At least I can trust that you know what you are taking about (I think  ).

Grover
Hi Phoenix
I'am an ex-landrover spares man, built my 68 2a gs from the ground up and do a little series repair to keep my brain 8O  :?: :?: 8O working and I am right into military vehicles
ask ross about the history of the register
regards Rocket
-
Must do that at some point, the website doesn't really say what the history is.
For a while I had assumed that Ross had started the whole gig, then when I got to the members page for the first time, nope he isn't anywhere near the first member.
I'd better run and actually do some work, otherwise the boss might get a bit edgy.
Catch you later

Ross's membership No
Hi Phoenix
Don't let the membership No's fool you the whole idea was a combo of about five of us, Ross, Myself , S Stansfield and a couple of people in the southern states in a effort to trace our vehicle's history, and we lucky people got to choose our Numbers, Ross chose 007(Ross Bond-o-Fill, DA DA) Steven with "Norma-Jean" was given 001 as his vehicle took out best Military Vehicle at the 50th anniversary gathering at Cooma in 98 judged by James Taylor how had been invited out from the U.K. So it all started from the idea to track down the history of our vehicles , it is now starting to come to fruitation as in the new additions, there has been some advances made in relation to the ARN's from there, hopefully to trackdown the log books, and with luck, find out which unit they were assigned to so in parades they can have their correct markings on
regards Rocket.

Ahh, I see, maybe a REMLR history should be written for inclustion on the page?
I'm one of the lucky ones really, I found school of armour markings on my door, and a name that probably came from an armoured unit.
Resultantly i'm making some School of armour unit plates to slide in, with REMLR ones on the back (multi purpose )
I know about the ARN hunt pretty well, I was helping ross collate some of them. Mostly some of the series 3 FFR ones. Mine was about 200 from the end of the list, bummer
I'll find out the exact details eventually.

Might be an Idea for the 3rd edition. I did a review on the REMLR webpage for the first one, and at this rate, i'll have to have a REMLR report in each edition 8O
Yeah, I think that wil be an interesting article for edition 3
