Little wonder that you got heaps of waves and smiles....a great looking rig! And very good fuel figures for the old girl.
Earlier in the week we hooked the campervan up behind the series 3 and headed off down around the south coast of Vic. for a few nights.
Great little trip and the good old Holden donk never used a drop of oil and averaged 14 litres per hundred kays or 7 kays per litre, (20 mpg in the old lingo).
Not bad for an old banger.
We got plenty of waves and smiles along the way.
As a bonus while we were down south we got to enjoy a ride in a 1948 Oldsmobile sedan, and a 1948 Dodge sedan, both very similar vehicles.
Both of these must have been fantastic vehicles. The Oldsmobile has four wheel coil suspension and rides like a dream.
Cheers, Mick.

Great truck you have there. I can't believe you only get 14L/100klm. I average 16L/100klm no trailer but decked out for work. I have a V6 3L Triton/Pajero petrol. I live in Endeavour Hills and I haven't seen many Series trucks getting around since moving down here, where abouts are you from? I will keep my eyes open for you running around.
Nathan.
In Queensland they have the SLOw group maybe we should pinch the idea for us living in Vic. Sorry I'm not trying to hijack your thread.

Lovely looking set up.
I have noticed with some Series owners, as yours, the bottom door sill's are not fitted.
Is there a reason for this ????
Thanks
