    Red motor manifold needed

    Dear All,

I'm just getting into re-enabling a recently acquired S2A 109 traytop with a 186. It was originally a 6 cylinder vehicle, so it hasn't been butchered to fit the 186. It's an old but very neat conversion using a Dellow adaptor, etc.

After sitting for 20+ years the engine has fired up and runs well but I have cooling system issues in that all the hoses are hard (as expected, and easy to deal with), etc; the biggest issue is the heater hose spigots on the inlet manifold are cactus, rotted off, non-existent.

So, I'm looking for an inlet manifold for a 186 specifically from a HT-HK-HG series Holden, any suggestion on where to look?

    Regards,

    joe

Try a Wanted to buy ad on Facebook Marketplace. There must be hundreds of them sitting in sheds around Oz.

Just don't hook them up? All the red motors i had years ago i never hooked them up, but most had aftermarket manifolds for holleys and tripple carbs.

Yep, I have a manifold that some moron cut the ends of the heater jacket off, I've bought a few holdens and none have had it hooked up.

Look at Redline and Speco, the price of new may surprise you.

    G'day Rocket,
sounds like you have a good project there to play with and take up some of your time and hard earned cash.
Be great to see some pics of the vehicle and a few of it under the hood, the Dellow conversion plate and engine mounts etc.
Is it a Dellow Conversion that uses the Land Rover starter motor?
Running it without the water heated manifold won't make much difference, might take a bit longer to run smooth from start up.
    Good luck with the project.

    Cheers, Mick.
