Ah, Discotwinturbo masquerades as Discotourer elsewhere. Those Iveco guys were unaware of the effort Iveco went to with the other Iveco CSR party just a few weeks earlier.

They did contact Iveco and I think worked out an arrangement with them to get parts but decided they could get going faster by fixing things up themselves.

One of the party drives a D4, came over for a chat and we ended up sharing a fire with them for a couple of nights. The D4 owner said he knows 'Graeme' from this forum.

Baz. You would want to check that this still applied before purchasing.
Manufacturers do change policy from time to time.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Now that's what I call support ......but it's from Iveco not Land Rover.

I've read numerous comments regarding the lack of support from Land Rover in Australia. Well the article below shows how it could and should be done.
Have a read of this, especially the bottom section "Ivecocare to the rescue"

    That's pretty impressive.
I lived in Newman for 2 years and getting any mechanical work at all done on any private car was next to impossible or that expensive was better to drive or have cars shipped to Perth or Port Hedland.
Having said that AHG have only been in town for a while and sounds like they are setting the bar.

When I took a 300Tdi D1 to Derby for my daughter, I couldn't get anyone to do an oil change. "It's a Land Rover, and they are too hard to work on. We don't work on them." Gawd, it was dead simple. It had electric mirrors, a radio, and electric windows.

I got the oil and filter and went around to KhunMoo's place.

Yet many of the Indi repairers of LR's say they are easier to work on than most other brands.
