It probably would have cost Allianz less to do the whole arms with the extra labour.The arms come with new bushea and ball joints. Maybe you should have said you would 'pay' the difference.
But Allianz is being very bureauocratic athe moment.

My 2008 TDV6 had a clunking from the front steering from the time I got it at 14,000km. LR replaced the lower steering linkage (that's what they called it) under warranty. But it worries me that it was shot at 14k. I had it fixed at 24k service as it was not bad but noticeable.

I bet the Allianz-underwritten LRA extended warranty policy will

The arm just by itself is worth around $1100. In the early days if bottom bushes were to be replaced Under warranty LR would supply complete the arm with bushes, but due to a large demand of the arm they started to become rare so they stopped this practise and would only supply the bushes to the dealers to complete the warrenty
