    ET phone home

I was looking into adding a LR phone kit part NUMBER: VUB501150 to my D3 and am going to show a great deal of ignorance by a couple of dumb questions regarding this technology. I basically just want to know if it will work in my car in Aus.

I assume that it is essentially just a blue tooth kit with factory looms and equipment to help it integrate with the LR?

Is blue tooth technology different in different countries ie does it operate on different frequencies?

If the factory phone kit is not blue tooth, then how does it work?

    Hi Tony,
As long as this kit is for the Aus market it is just a plug & play kit.
The part number you have is an early part number VUB501152 was a later version.
You should have the Nokia control box, Voice control box, Microphone, Switches & wiring looms.

The reason is it has a voice control module in it, so you can store numbers in the system & then dial them.

Bluetooth operates on the 2.4 Ghz frequency & i think from reading that yes it is the same.

    Cheers.

You can fit the D4 blueteeth kit to the D3. There was a thread about it on www.disco3.co.uk.
