This has happened to me also although not to often.
1st or 2nd gear at low revs 1500 - 2000 for a couple of seconds. Bit of a worry when you are exiting a parking lot with someone in front of you.
It seems to happen within the first several minutes after starting the vehicle, like a choke is on causing the revs to rise. My D3 has 31k's on it. I will speak to the Dealer when it comes up to it's 36K service interval

I definitely have to get back to my LR dealer as it took off up a ramp in shopping centre underground car park! I have been trying to replicate the problem, driving in 1st & 2nd gear between 1500-2000RPM. It is really noticeable in this range yet outside of it, say 3rd gear or over 2000RPm the revs instantly slow down, otherwise it's a nervous 3-4 seconds before the revs slow. I will be booking in the car this week for a looky see!
