Hey RosscoDisco,
Had some tyres fitted to one of my trailers this afternoon at Tyrepower Mornington. Noticed that your new boots had arrived.
The tread look great. Definately a must for my next set.
Cheers, Craig

Regards
Chuck

I found that Jax and Donellans both can get these from the Continental Tyre group who seem to be the importers. Mine (5) have arrived at Donellans but I have not got them fitted yet. Neither stocked them but both called Continental to get shipment details.
Looking forward to them and hoping they are not noisy.

My 19in Grabbers have now done about 300km since fitting Tuesday. Road noise? might be a little loader but it is a marginal call. The only difference that i can feel is a slightly increased effort required to initiate slower speed turn of steering wheel but it is almost negligible and i put this down to the squarer edge profile. They look great too - 'purposeful' as Trif says without looking like a 4WD 'earth-scorcher'.
The new pattern looks interesting i hope they perform as well as the AT2 ,mine have been on (255/55/18) 50th klms and still look good for another 20 to 30 thousand, got a little noiser recently but would never say they were intrusive and on road handling has always impressed me, next set i may try 255/60/18 does anyone know if speedo correction for the larger tyre is a difficult thing.
Tyres look great...they look more aggressive than the Scorpion ATRs I recently put on my D4....much flatter profile too.
I'm ****ed about how much more I paid per tyre....but I couldn't wait unfortunately
The Scorpions are pretty impressive on road but have definately changed how the car steers....maybe the rounder profile?
Wet handling is good too.
Have only been through some soft mud and they were significantly better than the OEMs.
Please keep us updated once you'd tried them on a few different surfaces.
Cheers,
Kev.
Must admit I'm in 2 minds what to replace my ATR's with before I ship the car later this year. Having already covered 38k miles they're about 4mm and the inner tread blocks are definitely almost on the wear bars. 2 would be fine as spares, so I'm thinking of going for another set of ATR's unless you chaps find the GG's to be a better tyre. It's certainly a much more aggressive looking tyre than the Pirelli, whether it's as long lived is yet to be proven really. For me, it's been worth paying the extra for the ATR, I really didn't expect them to last this long !
Ordered my GG19's yesterday at Bridgestone West Perth quoted $315 per tyre which is not as cheap as you guys get in the east but $100 per tyre cheaper than the nominated GT dealer in WA. Not to mention and a lot of change left over when compared to the Pirelli Scorpion option from Barbagallo Tyres.
The downside is I am looking at up to 8 weeks for stock!!! Still very excited to have a replacement for the wimpy HP's!!![]()
Ordered 6 GG AT 19's yesterday and will be here on Tuesday. Apparently they are in stock in Brisvegas. But the best fitted price I could get in Mackay was $340 per tyre. As you say still way cheaper than any other option and looks like it could be a good all terrian type tyre. Hope so anyway.
Can the guys who have the GG AT's fitted let us know what lt/100km you are getting around town and on the highway before and after fitting GG's.
I'm interested to know the difference if any.
Thanks
Chris
