Owl, the 285/60/R18 Cooper Zeon LTZ was fouling on the tread on the part of the chassis which is located on the rear of the front wheel arches. This only occurred when the suspension was raised and the wheels turned at full lock. However this was with the vehicle stationary. If you were in the sand for example with the tyres deflated bouncing around the tyre would move on the rim enough to cause a puncture in my opinion. This is a real shame as the tyres looked awesome on the car. I wish there was a 275/60/R18 option.

The OD of the BFG's is larger than the LTZ's so the same rubbing would occur.
Yeah the rim offset of after marked rims may solve some problems but at a large expense.

Hi Birky,
Can't go wrong with the Cooper ATR's. Had them on 2 Landcruisers and covered around 150,000Klm's on them in total.
You should be happy with them.

Has anybody fitted the BFG TA-KO 265/65R18? Being 10mm wider than spec and about 800mm OD puts it about 38mm oversize. Seems as though the tyre being load rated at 122R it may be a viable alternative to 18" AT's.

I'd be interested in any comment wrt to suitability, wear rate, rubbing or noise levels.

Hi all, Have just travelled 67,000 on my GG AT2's getting a bit close to the wear bars now. Great tyre like to put them back on but there are none in the country until early December so I am also going to give the Cooper ATR 265 60 18 ago. Best price Tempe tyres $275 a piece fitted and balanced. The GG tread depth is 11mm hopeing the Cooper might be up to the usual 13mm tread depth for longer life. This is the problem. The lower profile tyres having less tread
