LR want to pull the suspension/steering apart as they have had some neoprene bushing issues.....

    Hopefully that will fix it.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

    Does it sound like this?

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6O0hQ3gtEI]YouTube - D3 squeaky suspension[/ame]

This noise is coming from the left rear side of my car when it rocks left or right. It also does it when it pitches forward and backwards.

    My D3 is a V6 4.0L SE with 91k.

    djhampson,

Yep could be similar, but I have not had my car rocking like that for a long, long time!

The noise in mine went away after I had it services and asked them to look into the noise, have not noticed it for some time.

I am sure some one will ask for the video that goes with that, but I would not be so crude !

I'm sure if I had two people in my car that were young and vigorous the rythmn would be the same.....but not the noise....hehehe.

Incidently, LR did change the bushings.....or so they recon....and it made stuff all difference. Which was what one service centre guy said might be the case.

However, I guess that means I can rule out anything sinister?! I hope.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

Hot day today here in Melbourne, going slowly over a speed hump in a car park with the windows down. Dreadful squeak from the front end. Panic because going to Vic High Country in two days- images of front suspension coming apart over some rocks flash through my head. Stop the car and lean on the bonnet. Yep- big slow squeak like a rusty bed in a cheap hotel.

Call Ritter and see If they'll have time to at least tell me if it's safe to go to the High Country. Arrange to pop by tommorow. (They are great).

Get home, get on this forum and the Disco.uk forum. Get out the hose and give the lower control arm bushes and the sway bar bushes a jolly good drenching.

Lean on bonnet- squeaking stopped. I think I can go to the High Country. (Will confirm tommorow)

Probably need the front end looked at though when I return.

Could be I guess. I was leaning toward it being the bushes.
What are the symptoms if those bolts aren't tight?
