Guys, check out Goodyear wiper blades, I have them on my RRS. Identical to the LR version but only £6 each over here for the 22" blade, they clip straight into the U-bend on the arm. RRS's rip through blades like they're going out of fashion (well mine does, had to change the drivers side yet again yesterday) so I have a stock of blades in the garage, at that price I couldn't resist. If you have Costco, they have them.
Had a bit of rain over the last 24 hours, nothing tropical but enough to keep the wipers going continuously. The wiping capacity is satisfactory but I have noticed some noise when the wiper arm reaches the end of it's travel and changes direction. You all will know the noise, just think back to using the wipers in your car in the 90's. It's not intrusive but having been without it for some years now you do notice it when you go back to the older style of wiper.Quote:

The front ones were Tridon TFB22H/550mm (22") at $70/pair.
The original ones came off nicely and the Tridon ones fitted easily as well, once I looked at the instructions to figure which way to put them on. I did that outside the shop.
The rear one was a standard 6.5mm metal rail type, that I had to cut to size at home and it cost $13.
Both of them fit the windows and clean perefectly.
I Just picked up a pair of these wiper replacements as well and they work a treat - very easy to install! One problem now is when i go to squirt the windscreen to test them, the water pressure in the jets is so weak the water only just makes it to the windscreen from one jet and the other doesn't even get that far. I filled the wiper fluid resevoir but it made no difference. Any ideas on what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated.:confused:
sounds like the jets may be blocked. stick a pin in the jet to clear the blockage and see if that helps. What is the pressure like for the head light washers?Quote:

If that fails then I have also found that if you drive really really fast then the water hits the windscreen with much more force :angel: :wasntme:
Have my Disco booked in for rear brakes and enquired about the price to replace the wiper blades. The price was $115.00.
Considering that they have lasted 55,000 Klm's, I dont think thats too much to pay to have them replaced. I was informed by the dealer that others that have sourced after market wiper blades, have gone back to LR ones, as they just don't last.
Interested to find out others opinions on this.

I replaced the ones on my D4 very early with the old style blades & holders. Now more than 12 months later they're still doing the job quietly so at $26.50 they have well and truly earned their keep.
