Spent a really good day on Sunshine Coast, from Nambour to Imbil via back roads, to Borumba dam, then back roads to Murgon/Kilcoy, to Landcruiser Mountain park. Then back via Sunday Creek Rd to Charlie Moreland. Turned out Sunday Creek Road was closed about 2/3rd way in. Took a side track that looked like it might join back onto main road. Mistake, turned into very tight/steep/lantana ridden nasty little goat track. Car made light work of it though barked the paintwork with the lantana. Car also made light work of Landcruiser Mt Park on Difficult/Steep sections, though we didn't try the extremes on 20" with street rubber. The lower sections of the car I tried that Paint Armor, I think it is just PVA glue -worked well though. Pity I didn't put more on higher up!

My D4's daily run to the PO except that the council doesn't normally get a grader thoroughly bogged on the road beforehand.

Well I'm now on my way back to Sydney with our Simpson trip complete. What an experience, we did the normal part of the trip from Birdsville to Mt Dare via the Rig rd and WAA line. After Old Andado we did not see another car or people for 8 days. Traveling cross country for 6 days with a couple of days only having an average speed of 7kph, over very rough mogul country. The D3 performed fantastically with the LLAMS worth every cent! More details will be in the trip section.Attachment 49403
