It really is a great place and much more relaxing than Fraser. There's not as many sights to "tick off" and it's much smaller.
So you can just meander around a bit, driving on the beach and a couple of inland tracks but mostly spend time at camp.

This morning we watched at least 20 whales swimming by right from the little dune in front of camp while we had breakfast.

Just awesome Scott,, can't wait to get up there with Leeanne and show her this,,, she'll love it, especially if we can get to see the whales.
I was towing a barge around Cape Morton mid August 2001. The whales were going AWOL, and Breaching left right and centre. Definitely a good spot to sit and watch whales.

Playing with settings, but I think chose the wrong one here. Rock Crawl is a bit too 'revvy' for this, I think Mud Ruts would have been better. Still, walked it in :)
Also, shout out to Gordan and GOE training - would never have attempted this without that!
Yeah we used Mud Ruts for that one with Gordon Veebs.
Can't wait to get back there! Maybe next weekend.

That disco life...
It's good fun Rar, you're just looking at the sky. It's a classic example of how traction control can be an advantage as its a steep incline with a side angle too. Others start to skip across the rock.
Whoops
Did the rear window 20Kms out of Birdsville.
We had cardboard over the glass but it still broke.
