Just bought one with a few km on the clock (280km) but a newish motor. (110km). Am in the process of kitting it out for regular remote outback travel as my D2 is getting long in the tooth and broke down for the first time in the middle of nowhere on my last trip. I have Gap IID tool; just need to learn how to use it. So far OL bar, LLAMs, UHF, trailer brake system (for when my wife starts hating tents, which doesn't look very soon), dual battery, lightbar, fridge, rear drawers, Tracklander platform (takes ratchet strap hooks and half the weight of the Rhino) and rear ladder. Still to come LR fuel tank and wheel carrier. Maybe compressor bash plate and winch. I will also carry a decent factory manual download on usb and a spare tyre carcass. cheers

Hey mate,
I have a very cheap Lenovo tablet in my glovebox with the pdf manuals loaded up, excellent for using the search function when needed and can also talk to the gap tool. I have an iPhone and prefer gap tool on the Android, I also use it to store all the flashing and ECM information etc.
Move the compressor guard to the top of the list, the rest looks great, my OL bar is getting coated at the moment.
Found a similar looking one to mine parked next to me outside the Post Office in Kalgoorlie today -

2008 2.7 TDV6 SE with 206,000km. One happy matriarch of our house!
We've changed the steel rims for alloys as its the Boss's daily driver and she needs the comfort.
We put a deposit on a HSE but this one suited our tastes and budget better so we leapt at it.
Getting tuned this week, then trans service and check to see if it needs the upgraded oil pump (which I'll post a question about in the proper place).
Thanks for encouraging us to upgrade to D3 land!
Dave
Hey all, want to thank all the contributors to this group. It has helped me with a wealth of info to fix a few problems with my recently acquired Disco 3.
I was fairly lucky to find a ‘07 Disco 3 SE with only 99K on the clock (verified) which was mostly a city driver. Overall cosmetic and interior really good. Common cracked dash pad.
Few problems now fixed: irregular suspension fault but changed the compressor and working perfectly now. Front control arms replaced with Meyle HD’s as rubbers were going. Rotors and pads slight upgrade.
Recommendation from contributors, added 2.5” Johnson Rods, BMW 17” star rims that I got powder coated black, Falken Wildpeak AT 265/70 R17’s, Guerilla black wheel nuts, with custom printed black Land Rover 65mm centre caps.
Added some side steps for the new height.
Re-fitted new ceramic window tint, privacy on the cargo space.
Replaced head unit with a Kenwood 10” floating touch screen with Carplay, connected to steering controls - installed the media control from a HSE to the right side of wheel (again, thanks to contributors for that one).
Pretty happy with it now.
But thinking about a few more things :-)
