petera's car was very noisy compared to 'regular' D4's. Hopefully it's a one off as I haven't heard of a problem like it on PD before.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I took delivery and so for so good.
Beautiful to drive and returning about 9.8 l/100k.
Cheers,
Peter
I know you have now taken delivery, but to me it sounds like the dealer has done a proper pre delivery inspection and done the right thing by fixing an issue they found.
I liken it to a reno we did on our house a few years back. A stair case was put in and then the builder managing the project inspected the job. The posts were not to spec - 5mm to far apart. I would never have known so he could have left it. But the builder insisted that a new stair case be installed because it wasn't right.
It's all about good service which we often complain there is a lack off.
I agree with you.
However i took it back on Thursday to get a few things sorted;
1. parking sensors not working (they have to source a module form the UK to fix it)
2. none of the rubber mats had been correctly fastened to the floor (they hadn't fitted the plastic locking lugs . (again they need to source these from the UK !!!)
left hand side wheel arch trim was uneven; they fixed this on the day:)
3. the dealer didn't put through the paper work on the trade in lease and as a result they continued to take leasing payments out of my account. They fixed it eventually, however it has taken 4 weeks.
For the amount of money they are asking for these cars, little things like this should be sorted prior to delivery.
Cheers,
Peter

There are some in the D3/D4/RRS section somewhere - posted about 5 weeks ago by a poster from the UK.
Here is one that I saved.
