A few years back I bought a new 110 TD5 Extreme and when I went to pick it up some Land Rover inspector said the paint on the rear quarter wasn't up scratch and they wouldn't release the car. I didn't think it was a problem but said I wouldn't accept a touch up as it was silver, so they sent the car to a specialist painter and striped the car back to a shell with all doors, bonnet etc off and repainted the whole car.
Even though I was not happy at first they lent me my old Disco and two weeks later I had the best painted 110 in town
As Land Rover UK pays for all repair work the dealers seem happy to fix whatever is needed, so after five new Landies I just trust the dealer and get on with it.
