Well they might not be the Kevlar ones but I managed to get 6 of them for $435 each, thanks to the contribution of another Aulrovian who bought 6 with me
They will be fitted tomorrow and tested on the weekend on Mt Mee with any luck, the third time I have tried to get up there ;)
I will of course post some pics tomorrow once fitted :)

Like I said it' my 3rd attempt to get up there. I will take some footage of course when I make it there, you fancy putting some scratches on yours with me? In a non sexual context of course

I'm very happy to say I'm the other one who jumped in with Garry to buy the MTRs.
Big thanks to Garry who sniffed out a great deal and is doing all the legwork as I'm about 800kms away. Top bloke. Thanks Garry
Big thanks also to the admins of aulro because Garry and I would never have been able to compare pricing notes without this great site.
Can't wait to get the tyres. Of course I have to wait for the D4 to arrive to actually use them but a trip to the Kimberley in a couple of months will ensure they are well tested.
Thanks again Garry

It was my pleasure
Maybe we will cross tracks one day and compare dents and scratches

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have been using the Goodyear
MTR's with Kevlar for about a year now. This is by far the best tire that I have run. I use the 275-65-R18 with the Johnson Rod kit. There are many tires sizes you may not have thought about. I have a tire a tire size chart here: http://johnsonrods.com that may be of some help if you are considering larger tires.

Oh I actually mis-read this....I though the logistics of getting there...work commitments, etc, had stopped you. I didn't realise the actual track did...LOL!!!
If you are thinking that you'll now make it with the MTRs, I don't like my chances with the OEMs....:(
I've been in that area a few times but only been camping, so all the roads I travelled were easy. I didn't realise that there was tough stuff there too.
Thanks but no thanks....hahaha :)
Cheers,
Kev.
Thanks Greg J
The kevlars look great! Unfortunately for me I was restricted to the 255 55 19 as the D4 has 19 inch rims
If I could fit 18's I would!

Edit: I forgot to ask... how do the kevlar MTRs go for noise on the blacktop?
