I still need your help, people. I want to fit a hands free kit into my '09 SE Disco 3. I have the 6 disc stacker, with the 9 phone buttons, and Harmon Kardon speakers with sub in the rear. I've looked at the Parrot MK9200 kit, which I like, however the supplier/installers here are telling me that to install one of these means permanently disabling the sub, which I really don't want to do....
Surely someone else with the same vehicle has fitted a phone kit successfully???

They are talking crap. The six stacker stereo has facility to mute the radio and use the speakers for audio. I have the same stereo with a nokia CK 7w bluetooth fitted with no problems.Quote:

Telemute make a cable for the parrot kit but I just tinned the wires and bent them double and inserted in the back of the plug on the stereo.

I'm hoping to find someone that I can put my local installers in contact with to chat over the phone so they know exactlly what to doand/or what bits I need to buy. The last thing I want is for them to be buggering around trying to work out what to do whilst charging me by the hour to do it....

mObridge - an Australia company from melbourne do a MOST kit supplied world wide
if you have the indash 6 stacker with the 12 button keypad its a "bolt on" part and integrates like factory - infact they suggest it as a replacement to the buggy OEM unit.
Cost is around $600 supplied or $800 fitted.

I would assume most CAM (car audio masters) affiliated stores would be able to supply and fit.
You can also get the steering wheel controls through your LR stealer
The mObridge unit uses Parrot technology for the bluetooth which is pretty much the best available.
As an alternative the MKI kits from parrot are bloody good if your not too concerned about OEM integration with the 12 button key pad. They have plug and play looms available to suit and they have a great voice recognition. Should be under $500 fitted for the music MKI9200.
