Re the above issue, I got the following response from Pete at BAS:
"The reflash counter is only activated when programmed with the dealer tool, aftermarket remapping tools do not add a marker to the counter."

just got my BAS remap interface. The factory maps are downloaded and sent to BAS in the UK for my optimsed one. Not long now

Hi all,
Just bought a new D4 TDV6 2.7ltr. Wanted the 2.7 with smaller brakes so I could get my 17 inch alloys with muddies off my D3 straight onto the new D4. I am somewhat disappointed with the 2.7 TDV6 power (my D3 was a V8). I have a simple question - does any company currently offer an ECU remap (not and external chip) for the D4 TDV6 2.7ltr?

Do you have a D3 or D4 and what engine do you have? I would be interested in the BAS remap but not sure it works on the D4 2.7ltr having read this forum? If it will work on my D4 then what are the costs and power/torque increases?

Hi Matt,

A query if you don't mind, I was of the understanding after reading a number of comments on here that 17's wouldn't fit on a V8 D3 because of the bigger brake size compared to TDV6's D3's.

Not sure about the D4. I heard u have to send the ECU but i could be wrong

Loaded my new map this morning in the freezing cold, did not put it thru stringent acceleration tests but it definetly had more grunt off the mark and pulled the hills easier with less throttle than before

Ritter Landrover Melbourne have the re-map for the 2.7Lt. Had it done to my D3 before purchasing the D4.
You will be impressed.
BTW: The V8 power is different to a diesel if you haven't yet driven one. Torque is another thing all together. Wack a heavy van on both and go for a trip. I'm sure you will choose the diesel.

As said earlier bluefin ddo have a handheld mapping module for the 2.7L D4.

Interesting last time I looked the 3.0L wasn't htere but the there was a separate choice for the 2.7L D4.:confused: Maybe the same hand held module does both. You will need to check.
