Good call Babs. Not just the kids though, that wireless control unit in the solenoid box gets water in it, anything could happen and without you knowing.

That's why I remove the hook and cable tie the rope to the bar..
No hook to steal, and if it activates - just snaps a cable tie and rotates till the battery goes flat (easy to rectify).
You can also fit a waterproof push button on the back of the controller to isolate the remote...
Hi rhinosm,
How did you go with the radar mounting? I love mine and will hate to lose it. Is it still actually mounted/fitted and plugged in behind the steel bar work? I'd assumed it would have been originally mounted to the now replaced plastic bumper.
Ditto with front cameras - any progress or resolution?
Hi Andrew
The bull bar is on and looking good.
The ACC radar remained in its position, untouched, and is working also.
It is mounted car frame, rather than to bumper.
There appears to be just enough open area for it to work.
If I ever fit a winch it would be completely blocked.
Awesome :)
Except I will be fitting a winch:mad:
Can you describe exactly where it is fitted please? I can't see it with OEM bumper in place.
Thanks too to everyone for all the posts and pics of the Summit bar. It has been a long time coming but looks like ARB has delivered a great product again, albeit with a few initial fitting and gap concerns.
Andrew
Its directly behind and above number plate in my photos.
It must be working thru grill above umber plate.
If they keep number plate low enough it works, if located high, in front of grill section it would be blocked.
You can make it out in photos, a rectangular shape at back.
Can you take a pic level showing more of the front - I think there may be a possibility that with a careful installation the Winch and Adaptive cruise could coexist
Your wish is my command.
I hope this helps.
Needs a wash.
