Yep I recon they should,we are already so dumb as to need chimes to tell us when the door is open,keys in the ignition,put your seatbelt on etc so one more thing fitted because people are to dumb to know they've bought a deisel would be a great benefit. Pat

Hiya folks just an update.. we drained the fuel out of it (had to remove fuel tank to do this)... flushed out fuel system and replace filter.. filled her up with diesel and it started instantly.. and seems to be running beautifully... is this a good sign or might there be hidden damage yet to show itself?

From what I can understand she filled it up with petrol when it was about half full of diesel. She drove it a few kms somewhere and noticed it took a bit to start when she went to leave there. She drove another couple of km to another place (not noticing any problems) and then went she went to leave there it wouldn't start.

But yeah driving it around now it just seems as good as new...

50/50 deasel... mmmm its just a wating game now... maby a dash of 2stroke oil in the tank to help relub everything... have had them fail a few thou after the miss fuel... hope it gose well for ya..

Or they're just letting their pensioner Aunty drive because she currently can't drive her manual as she had a fall and hurt her left shoulder...

I did know I bought a diesel and made sure she knew... she even thought she put diesel into it until she checked the reciept :(

signage at fault

The signage on some of those pumps, is very close to being the same colour and style.

Maybe we should be pushing for all brands to have a standardised colour scheme to identify the different fuels.
