Hi Byte,
I had the same problem when I bought the wifes BMW, but went against her and got the diesel.
She was still unsure until such time as she was given the same car in a petrol as a loan car while hers was being serviced.
Couldn't wait to get back into her diesel.
Try and get her into a petrol now

she is concerned about something breaking and cost a fortune (out of warranty period).

..... I told her it has full logged history and the owner was a shipmaster who did not spend much time on land....(or so the dealer says anyway)...

PS - i wonder why the dealer is advertising as an 'MY08'???

Who should I have check it out mechanically as a pre-purchase inspection?

Albany is 450km from the nearest Landy Specialist (in Perth)

BTW - this vehicle as a long range fuel tank (1900km range) - Do you know approx what size fuel tank that woudl be, and what is stock?

What would an OEM bumper cost to replace the bull bar?

From what I understand, the longrange tanks are a seperate tank and the original is still in place..mine has the longrange tank which is 100ltrs plus the original 90ltrs.
If you fit the extra tank you need to fit the rear wheel carrier or fit roofrails or carry the spare in the back.

the picture shows that the spare wheel is mounted on rear by carrier.

Why are you selling Chuck?
Looks good.

Looking at maybe getting a D4 SDV6SE & then looking for a D1 for harder stuff.
I know that the D3 is very capable but it is to good to damage.
My son & I are thinking of getting a D1 & building up with lockers etc.
I went up to Cobaw last week as a passenger with a group of older cars.
Would take the D4 to Sand & Snow trips where there is less likliehood of damage.
I am also lucky enough to have a work car allowance & with depreciation etc it works out well.

I have had an April 09 Black SE from new, now with 66,000 KM and I love it. The car came with Rear A/C, headrest DVDs, electronic rust protection and rubber mats - it is great. The kids love it and constantly complain about being cold from the Rear A/C, it must work well as we live in Brissie so get some warm days here. Of the choice you have there I would go the White version. Maybe get some seat covers to hide the interiors or change over some of the interior panels , some good how to's on disco3.co.uk for that.

Hi Byte,
Just letting you know that I wouldnt be without rear A/C, and, that you can control the rear air con from the front, or flick a switch and let the rear occupants control their own.
That way, if the people in the back are too cold, they can turn theirs down.
