Are you looking at a replacement audio/nav? I've got the low line audio & have found Clarion & Alpine replacements but I'm not 100% satisfied as yet. I have a thread here & on Disco4 sites.
The add on is reasonably simpleton components however that monochrome screen needs to be relocated or it's signal added to the Nav screen or monitor as an added input.
Simple...
I'm watching with great interest too! Can't input anything, but willing to help if possible.

Les.
Regarding the Chinese ones on eBay, I asked the vendor a while ago about them and while they do run Windows CE - there is no way to modify them yourself. So you can't stick OziExplorer on, etc.
I've got a mate who has done this many times, I'll get some info for you on how to do it.
I changed mine to run Ozi too by using a front-end "GPS" menu that has buttons for both programs.
I haven't used an in-dash screen so don't know how well they can be seen but my 7" mounted in front of the base model screen swivels so that it can face directly at me for best viewing, which is especially good when using Ozi and with the reversing camera.

Hi Richard,
You need to load a shell to access WinCE ..
It's a bit tricky and may brick the unit if something goes wrong ...
I used "Visual" and it can be found here www.lanik.org ...
Click on Projects > Scroll down to the GPS Project > Read the instructions VERY carefully ..
The project is for a Mio Moov (mine is a Mio A470 Moov) but will also work on all GPS's running WinCE .. Hopefully ...
Good luck and if the GPS bricks I take no responsibility .. LOL ..
Cheers
Jim
