Shows how strong the T5 platform is though!

That looks to be one of the last batch of G4 Challenge vehicles (the ones destined for Mongolia). Any chance you could get me the VIN & PM it over, for the club records??

If it will help the G4 had # 1 decals .

I hope some people will learn from this, SPEED KILLS and alcohol seems to be involved .
    Nice sentiment,but completely WRONG .
Speed has never killed anyone ! Speed is only a multiplier of Consequence . The Drugs, the fatigue, the road conditions, the weather conditions , the state of mind , the operators aptitude, these are the underlying root causes !
As long as people keep perpetuating this SPEED KILLS utter rubbish , the more we see are state and federal Governments dealing out this crap and dealing with it by the use of Speed cameras ,or revenue raisers.Since when has any speed restriction / camera ever prevented a fatality ?

I think their point is that IF (excessive) speed is taken out of the equation, the likelihood of getting dead is removed. Therefore the 'speed kills' argument is valid. Most people don't understand certain laws of physics, and that's fine, so a simple message is propagated, rather than saying, 'a high enough rate of acceleration or deceleration will kill you' - 'cos it doesn't have the same ring.

KOOS, thanks for the post - that's horrific mate.

    KOOS - Thanks.

Shows what a strongly / well built vehicle the Disco is but also there was luck involved in that the axis of the crash was direct rather than quartering or side impact etc. A lucky escape for the family in that Disco alright.

Yep, agree. For what it's worth they will continue to bend us motorists over irrespective of facts.

Not that I haven't seen enough car accidents & deceased drivers, passengers & children as a result I can't seem to see the pics.. The only reason I got rid of my 110 for the D4 was I believed it to suit my purpose & be one of the safest cars on the road for my family & I..

Yep, lots of bodies in graveyards around the world not caused by excessive speed, just by "multipliers of consequence".

Thanks for the post, this vindicates my decision to get a Discovery 3 to take care of the most valuable things in the world to me, my wife and 4 children!

its not the speed that kills, its that sudden stopping that does it...

after all, generally speaking no-one on earth goes slower than about 106000Kph at any given point in time.
