Note that both the Coopers and Duratracs are expensive and the Duratracs were hard to get when I was looking 6 months ago. I think it was over $500ea but may be different now.

As per above, there are HEAPS of posts discussing this exact topic. I think one very recently...
My personal experience over almost 10 years with my D4:
- I have had a few sets of 19" Cooper Zeon LTZ's and loved them. No punctures, no issues. But quite expensive. Done Cape York, OTT, Pilbara/Karijini...
- I now have a set of Maxxis AT980's, almost everyone on this forum had given positive feedback, and they were ~$100ea cheaper! Had them for 10-15k kms, and they are going really well. Again, no punctures, issues, ride really well.
- I would use either tyre - but the Maxxis appear best value for money so far!
