Guys please, all that crap about lowering & lifting & only if it's turned on with the hazards on and your wife in a good mood etc. Half of its useless.. Use a jockey wheel like our fathers and their fathers used.

VIP entry or what ever the hell it's called.. Are we too lazy to press the unlock? Are our lifestyles that hectic we can't fumble in our gym bags or handbags (ladies) for the keys.

I can see how it would be useful to have driver preferences programmed into his/hers fobs.

I can see how it would be useful for remote start, so the A/C or heater is on before you get in.

Last but not least as I stub my toe in the dark walking back from the car, Land Rover please keep it simple & just put a led torch in the key fob.

    Different folks, different strokes...

I'm sure you have one or two 'labour saving' devices in your life too?

That's called "Follow me home lights"...

...you can program up the key-fob for that.

Follow me home..? no I haven't heard of that.. I have a long driveway & it's always garaged overnight.. When I do leave it on the driveway I press the headlight button or twice to get the reverse lights on.

    Keysafe for locking key

I did have a Keysafe, but found that I could still open the tailgate if the D4 key was in it. Hence the lockbox on the roof rack. I guess I could put the D4 in "Valet Mode" so that a key in the Keysafe wouldn't allow vehicle access, but that's a bit too complicated when beaching it.

Horn only sounds if the engine is running. (at least thats how it works on ours)

I've occasionally wondered what those other buttons do, but not so much as to want to wade through the manual. I suppose they need the vehicle to be locked too.
