From memory, there are 5 holes in the A pillar mount and I drilled 4. At which point I dulled about 4 std drill bits and thought "That will do!"

Yes I remember going through a few bits, in the end I drilled a pilot hole first.

Yeah so I found out today, bought cobalt bits as advised. lasted 1 hole. Well I suppose off to Bunnings again tomorrow and at least 4 drill bits. What a joke. Anyone had any better luck with any particular type of bit? Cobalt, Tungsten, Diamond?

Safari snorkel D4 - How/where does it fit

Just buy a drill bit per hole. It’s the simplest approach

A plate is pop riveted to the "A" pillar which holds the upright section.

Sorry don't have pic's as I now have the LR RAI.

    Cheers
