I need more flotation to handle the weight. This has been the only let down with my D4.Quote:

So the Cooper 265x60x18" AT3's haven't worked for you in sand? I haven't been anywhere near sand with our D3 to know how they work in it. However they do bag out quite well though for a fairly low profile tyre when the pressure is lowered.
Re the BFG A/T's in sand nearly everything I have read on here, from memory, has indicated they are one of the worst tyres for sand usage. Still my memory might be failing me.
cheers,
Terry
I had MTZ fitted in 265/70R17, the same rolling diameter as the 265/65R18, and I think there was a little bit of scrubbing initially. The new tyres are still in transit from the US, should be here next week. I'll put up pics when fitted.
Here is a pic of it fitted with the MTZs.
According to Coooper's website the new AT3 265/60/18 are passenger with load rating 110T (as in 1060 kg's per tyre?)
The GG AT2 255/60/18 is not light truck either with only a small increase in load at 112H (1120kg)
To get light truck spec for my D4 I would have to got significantly out of manufacturer wheel specs ?
Hi Terry,
The Cooper HT plus's I have on my D3 have a load rating of 114T which was the best 18 inch Cooper rating I could find at the time.
Thats interesting, before I bought mine several months ago I checked the Coopers website and it had the 18" AT3's with a 109 load rating.
I will check the D3 when I get home, I won't be unhappy if they are 110's, not that it makes much difference, from memory about 30 kg per tyre.
cheers,
Terry
