I have the Icom in my D4. The radio is under the passenger seat. The mic socket is attached to the passenger side of the centre console by drilling two small holes through the plastic down near the trans tunnel and securing the socket via small black cable tie.
When in use the mic sits in the cubby hole to the left of the ash tray. When not in use its unplugged and kept in the centre console bin.
I've got the Icon set to auto turn off after 2 hours.

Just letting people know the Dashmount above does not fit the MY2012 D4, the angles are all wrong. It likely can be made to fit by bending and adjusting but you may as well start from scratch and save the dollars. It also came with no instructions and no VAT invoice to reclaim the overcharged VAT.Quote:

No different from any other model so I do not know why it would not fit. :confused:
Are you sure they sent the right mount?
The mount was correct their quality control is up the creek.
By adjusting all but one of the folds by re-bending and twisting the mount I've managed to fit it. However for a cost better than $50 for about 20c of bent metal, you'd expect the bends to be correct. :mad:
