Dual Battery and Air Compressor in D4

Thanks Baz,
I have asked Tim (Traxide) to include a anderson plug outlet in the D3 aux batt box as part of the D4 kit but I don't know if it is a splice or a separate cable back to the aux battery.

I have an air lock diff on the old RR which has a aircompressor with a small tank (came from ARB with the diff centre) but I can't locate any on their web.

Hi All,

Anybody got some detailed pics of the compressor in the drivers side bonnet space. Not sure if I should move the ECU and wiring from under the cover.

Is this what you are looking at doing? And by the way the plastic cover does go back on so the water can't get into the compressor.

Redback ....i note your snazzy drawers ...(look like you made them )...i just made a set and have mounted them in my d4 ....and i used similar mounting system to as you appear have used ....ie shackels and turnbuckels to fix to the existing fixed tiedowns ............however im getting some shifting back and forth of the whole drawers unit under braking ......maybe my turn buckels are not tight enough .....but i have stripped one by overtightening ................have you nay other anchoring for your drawer unit .....ie bolts through the floor ....which im trying to avoid

Rollin, the compressor doesn't look like any that are currently offered by ARB. What model is it?

I used the factory tiedown points, they bolt through the floor anyway, I needed to get longer bolts though as the false floor is bolted down along with the drawers, you need to get the points where they attach to the drawers so they don't allow movement back and forward, angle them so they face away from each other and yes they need to be tight.

That is the older model ARB compressor, the new ones are much smaller and will fit in that space much easier and won't require you to move anything.

thanks baz ....think thats my problem ....i set them stright up and down and did not angle them ....ok back to the workshop for a bit of re engineering

Baz ...one other question re the drawers ........my lower tail gate is a bit angled up so i had to pack up under the drawers to get clearence of the lower tailgate ........
i notice your drawers dont seem to have much packing under then (i sheet of ply ?)

is there any way to adjust the lower tailgate get to get it compleatly level rather than slightly angeled upwards
