Hi all, have found a slow puncture ( looks like a nail hole ) after our outback trip and was going to try out a new arb repair kit as a temporary measure whilst deciding over a new set of rubber as my front tyres are worn and one got a sidewall slash in the Paroo Darling.
After jacking the rear left ( in raised mode ) the back end seemed really high on the punctured side ( drivers rear ). From changing the front left for the spare at Wilcania on a level surface the angles the car sat in my garage looked a bit odd - see pic below. Rather than risk taking the wheel off and getting into problems I lowered the jack and tightened the nuts up but when getting back into the car to move back and free up the chock the suspension was in EXTENDED mode - is this normal???

SubscriberDid you jack under the arm or the chassis rail ?
D4 2.7litre
After only 1500km I changed the same right rear tyre yesterday and was concerned about the extended mode - naturally I read the destructions after changing the wheel - and read that before you start you are supposed to put into extended mode and brace a wheel - I used the chassis location for lifting. One observation was the size of the rear airbag compared to my old D2...huge!

I swap my between my 2 set of wheels regularly and always jack the car up by putting a trolley jack under the suspension arm.
Only have to lift the jack a few inches and its a lot stronger than the crappy LR jack.
