Remove existing cubby box & fit in new unit. Takes about 20mins to fit.
They are good, but you have to remember they are not a fridge.
They are a cooler & will cool the drinks not make them cold.

    Cheers

Ok. So does it just use aircon to cool ? On my touareg I have a cooler box, in which I just open a vent and the aircon comes in at about 2 degrees. Definitely keeps drinks cold, but won't cool. Or is it like those thermo type fridges ?
    Many thanks.

Sounds like we have a bulk buy, perhaps if we have a single shipping destination for each major city it will keep the price down, but we need to remember that each package needs to arrive in Oz less than $1,000.

    Count me in too! (Sydney)

If we were to do a group buy, it would be best to pay direct to the vendor save anyone having to handle the dollars and deal with the angst.

So far those who have expressed interest:

That's 10 units - the price would also be UK VAT free (Zero rated)

    OK

I've dealt with Nick a few times now so I've emailed him and asked about sending a few out here, it may make it easier for him to arrange the postage if there's 4 or 5 to do at once.

The thread's here for those interested in seeing it, but it may be worth just hanging off posting there until it's confirmed that he'll send them here. I don't see why he wouldn't ship them but the postage may be excessive, best to check first.

    I've got one & it's great.

I don't use it much but like others have said, it is nice to store a couple of cold ones in, without having to fire up the main fridge.

I travelled through the nanny state UK, one time I was up near the Sherwood Forest on the way to Nottingham. Pulling into a general store for fuel, and it being an unusually warm May day for the UK the sign on the door "Cool Drinks" took my attention and wet my thirst. Before going to the counter I spied an old domestic fridge with a display of soft drinks on the top. Knowing the drinks would be inside I went to open the door to be confronted by the store keeper asking why I was opening the fridge.

The cool drinks were the display on top of the fridge. If that is also Land Rover's idea about the cooler box, I may have to reconsider.

Will the Disco 3 cooler fit in the centre console of the equivalent RRS ??

If so, could also be interested depending on cost. I find the standard cubby box works really well as an esky if a frozen 650ml bottle of water is used - will keep other precooled softdrinks cool all day.
