Looks like they've tried to deliver mine twice (yesterday & today) and I've not been home. Bugger.
Woo hooo...got mine this morning and put it in straight away.
Seems to work well.....now just need to sit back and wait for my smack when SWMBO notices.

That's a bit lazy! A lot of us Defender drivers don;t even have fridges in our cars at all....
Seriously though I have one of the Waeco equivalents and it pretty much is as described above. I find it useful on day trips but honestly if I already had a proper Engel or Waeco on board I wouldn't bother with the small one.
Cheers
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

A question Discomaniac if you don't mind, did your cooler stay on after turning off your ignition on the D3 or has it only been the case since fitting it to the D4?
As I have said previously my factory fitted cooler stays on for ages after turning off the vehicle keeping drinks cool even with the D3 stopped.
Seams a bit strange if the wiring was already factory fitted that yours behaves differently to a factoy fitted one. It would be intersesting to hear from others wth factory fitted coolers if theirs stay on for a period after turning off the ignition.

Hi TerryO,
My first cooler in my D3 stayed on for about half an hour after engine turned off.
After some seemingly unrelated battery problems, the Cooler was replaced under warranty, this 2nd one turned off only about 30 seconds after the engine was switched off.
This is the one that was moved to my D4, performs the same in the D4 on the 2nd battery as it did in the D3.
Hope this helps.

Before I go ahead and order one, for those of us a little less familiar with D3/D4s (only picked up my first yesterday), was it all straight forward to install? Was an existing loom able to be used or did you need to trace a new line? Could you post up a pic or two of how it ended up looking?
Thanks
Andrew
Not hard, the connector was just under the cupholder. Here are some pics I had on my PC from a thread somewhere about removing the centre console.
The connector is covered in grey foam.
Here are instructions on how to get the centre bin out, after you remove the centre console.
