How do you find the DMax Justin????.
We have one at work,4WD dualcab,MY14.
I dont like it,the auto sucks.Going up the hill out of Armadale with the cruise on it constantly shifts up and down, reving its guts out then upshifting, then downshifting. They bought me a secondhand 2011 Colarado 4wd manual dualcab with 17100ks on it,seems stronger than the DMax.
Im spoilt,my D4 holds 8th at 1200rpm on the same hill, occasionally shifts to 7th,it gets told 8th thankyou.

Hi all, I have MY13 8 speed auto and I use IIDtool to read gearbox Temps (and lots of other data), was on the way home from Darwin towing 3.2t van at 100kph Temps were mid to high 90s depending on uphill down hill, ambient low 30s. Have got to 50k service next week, gear box ATF and filter change is scheduled $875. I am getting an oil sample, I will be interested to see how it has fared.

    Regards

Those d4 are a benchmark for torque and driveability aren't they ?!

I find exactly the opposite to your experience andy, and i have exactky the same vehicle as you drive. I'm very impressed with the auto to engine relationship actually. . The issue there is that you have a manual colon-rado vs an auto dmax. I never use cruise on long hills for that reason . It has less torque than the holden but if you compare both as autos then you wouldn't hesitate to go the isuzu as many not just me have done.

Plus i expect to have zero drivetrain issues with mine☺☺. It is also about to be remapped to around the 500Nm mark with the monstrous front mount IC i have fitted it should keep those egt's down. I'm currently unable to exceed 570 C upstream lugging it in 4th up steep hills held in 4th flat to the floor so hopefully remapping will see it still at a safe level...

    Jc☺
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Nope, unfortunately the PID is not the same.
Also checked a 4Runner PID which was different to no avail.
    I'm still working on it.

I monitor auto oil temp, engine water, voltage and inlet air temp with my Scanguage 2.
Auto oil is usually 10-15 deg and sometimes 20 deg lower than the engine coolant temp.
For example today on a 120 klm drive it was high 60's and early 70's Celcius and Eng coolant temp varied between 83 deg going long downhills to 89 normal flat and pulling up hills.
Ambient temp today was 11 deg.

I just had my ScanGauge upgraded to the latest firmware and those codes in the thread above work and I can now display the auto transmission temp. You need to input all the codes. The handbook that came with the gauge gives all the step by step instructions.
