YIKES!!!!! After stuffing around, struggling to work out how it could bloody fit - a few phone calls, emails etc and we have arrived at the reason for our initial frustration!

This unit is designed expecting the IHU (9 button) stereo head unit.

Reason: The base level unit (In Aus) has a built in amplifier circuit, making the unit about 20mm longer than the 9 button HU with its external amplifier under the Drivers seat.

The screen needs to lean back behind the head unit and wont fit with the normal 6 button stereo...

But there has been a solution (we were committed once we cut out the cubby hole ) - We cranked up the Dremel and removed the last 30mm of stereo on an angle to allow the unit to fit!!!!!

We're now back on track - Fitting the wiring etc into place...

Dont get this unit expecting bolt in and go - Unless you have a 9 button stereo (and no upgrade is NOT easy and quick if you dont) - You will be cutting up bits and pieces to make it fit and work...

Whats worse for us is we have damaged the Dash Pad and will now require a replacement (about $1000.00 )

Having said all this - I could now install it in my sleep
