My dear boy I'm originally from across the pond so the only code of football I have any interest in is Rugby where brawn and brains are required If you want to be the champions, unlike League where no one has any brains or AFL where there is no brains or skill just a lot of grown men in very tight shorts running around in ever decreasing circles who find it hard to kick a ball through even four goal posts, which is two more goal posts than any other code in case Victorians hadn't realised.

By the way I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad that Sydney has 'lower thumps' than Melbourne.

After a lot of research I bought mine from a guy in Sydney, of course you have to factor in extras such as - airfare to Sydney - taxi to the owners house (in my case $140) - getting a RWC for the vehicle when you get back to Victoria (NSW paperwork isn't recognised here) - cost of new plates, it all adds up... I got a great vehicle with a very good pedigree so I'm more than happy to have bought it from NSW, and it was a lovely drive home in my new toy :D

Try living in a mining town in far north WA. Everything seems to be double. On the other side of that though my sister just sold a 99 Nissan pulsar with 330 thousand on it for near 4 grand ;)

If you buy a vehicle interstate and you live in WA and want to drive it home you must contact DPI and get a permit BEFORE you cross the border or you can fined for driving an unregistered vehicle and it may affect any insurance claim. I only found this out when I went to register mine. You also have to get a permit to take it to the registry from you home address. They usually last 48 hours and cost around $60 from memory.

Then you have your stamp duty, transfer fee and plates etc. and for a $46K vehicle it set me back $3700.00. Lucky there was someone behind me when I almost passed out.:eek:
