"Sealed for life" was LR original statement on them,
But they didn't want to tell you that in needed a $1200 service at 80k :o

Hmm - I know a UK magazine quoted that, but LR have always denied the statement. They claim a service requirement (either standard or arduous).Quote:

LR have never claimed the gearbox is sealed for life - their service schedule has it serviced every 240,000km or 10 years which ever is earliest and earlier if used in arduous conditions.
