Radiator at the back with air con condenser at the front. Underneath is an extra fuel cooler, and below that is the intercooler. Yes, red dust is the problem, everything is stained with it, particularly aluminium parts.
There doesn't appear to be an oil cooler that I can see, but there does seem to be 3 fuel coolers - one near the starter motor, the one across the bottom of tye radiator, and one at the front of the engine "V".
The cooler for the gearbox fluid is built into the radiator.
I wondered if you had thought about doing anything special regarding mounting the in cabin switch and LED light that goes with the USI-160?
I suppose one could just hide the little box somewhere as the switch is not the sort that one is going to use daily, but the LED would be nice to watch as it tells you what the isolator is doing, or not.
I'm not anticipating doing anything unusual with it, just mounting it near the headlamp switch. I did think about mounting it somewhere like under the cubbybox lid, so that that you can get to it or look at the LED only when you need to, as I was concerned about the LED flashing being a distraction at night.
Fuel cooling is usually done on pump bypass fuel before being sent back to the tank.
The pump is cooled by the cool fuel coming from the tank, and the engine only uses a small portion of the total amount the fuel pump processes.
This is also true for most turbine engines in aircraft.
Yes, I suppose the flashing would be a distraction; I kind of forgot about that.
I have my Black Berry cell phone mounted on the round air vent beside the NAV and at night, the flashing blue BlueTooth light can be annoying. At times, I think I should be turning the indicator light off.
I was wondering however about a switch something like Llams uses with that little LED buried down low beside the knob.
