I actually think that the chrome blends better given the lighter metallic of yours than black (which would be obvious but not stand out.

    Want bling, get gold.

yes gold - the 24 carat stuff from Perth

I almost mentioned gold in my previous post.

I recall a few years back it was the rage here. It was sold as being 24 carat, however it apparently was not the stuff buried around Perth.

It seemed that a few months later, the "gold" was tarnishing and then later flaking of the plastic - very sad for some, as they paid as if it was - well gold!

I seem to recall seeing on AURLO a picture of a pink FFRR a few years ago that one of your football players did up for his girlfriend - that would be the market. I thought it was Photoshop, but it was apparently real.

That's probably Stephen Ireland you're referring to. Check out his other cars if you get a chance too. He's spent many tens of thousands of pounds reducing the value of his cars by many tens of thousands I reckon.

Well, so far it's 2 fors, 2 againsts and me sitting on the fence.

The LAND part has to come off anyway, but I'm still not sure whether to bin the lot.......

    I like the bling.

To put another fox in the henhouse what about modernising and putting Discovery on the front?

Mate don't bin it, I think because it's not straight, in your mind it doesn't look good, once you get them on the way you want, it will look great, besides you've done a great job so far.

Nothing wrong with a bit of bling.

I've been out looking at it again today, and it's started to grow on me. My second choice was a gloss black so that I could do a "black pack" version, so I painted up a couple of the old letters and blutacked them in place, and they looked cack.

So I think that it will be a case of repositioning the "LAND" and then getting the same colour for the tailgate.

Well this arrived in the post today:

It is much bigger, heftier and more solid than the OE item. Will have a go at fitting it over the long weekend and report back.
