Thread: LED trailer = transmission fault, no TCC lockup??

Another LED trailer story, but one with a slight twist. I've had an LED trailer hooked up before and had the usual flashing of the taillights that people speak of, however I hooked up another one this weekend and within a minute the TRANSMISSION FAULT message came up and then the TC stopped locking up! It did this all the way to my pickup point, with revs going all over the place! Once I got there I disconnected the trailer and no more problems since. Anyone else had something similar to this??

I had the complete set of errors and special programs shut down, but my problem was feedback from the P3 brake controller and not the LED. Solved with diodes in the connection between the controller and the harness.
