I can't, but have you checked the sockets in the connector at the suspension ecu? The connector at the ecu is the one closest to the front of the vehicle.

I'd assume there is something like the D2's electrical library PDF available for the d3. This document will have a section called "connector views" which describes the location of the connector, a photograph of the area with all connectors numbered, a table of which circuit each pin is connected to and a pin out.

If you can track this document down it is worth it's weight in gold. It will be up on topix no doubt.

It may be in a convenient spot to be disconnected for a body removal.

So once you get to the vehicle selector, pick your vehicle and year, and you get dropped into the correct vehicle page.
Click "Service"



Then from the service menu at the left select "Electrical Information" > "Electrical Reference Library"



You should then get a list of pdfs. The one you are after will be called something like "LRE088_3 ENG - DISCOVERY 3 - LR3 - VIN: 000304 > 413981"



I don't have the D3 ERL but the D2 version looks like this:



I find the electrical diagrams are very difficult to use without referring to the Electrical Library to assist with locating the correct connector. I'd image that is x10 with the D3.

Thankyou all for your posts, they have been really helpful! i have finally found a broken wire right by that connector (C0377). The connector is under the N/S/R wheel arch behind the air spring, hidden behind a cover and a whole load of mud...!! Thanks, hope this might help someone else.

I have the same issue with My D3 2006. I have the suspension fault, normal height only on the dash, no other fault code or indication of what it may be.
I have tested the compressor and it runs fine.
I have also placed a schrader on the reservoir tank, and put 100- 110 PSI in but the suspension is still bottomed out. So im assuming the front and rear solenoids are closed!.

My query is where to start now, how do find where the fault is coming from without checking every wire and ever connector from the centre valve block to the front and rear.

The centre valve block (behind the reservoir) is not letting air from the compressor to the reservoir or straight to the fr/rear valve blocks/solenoids.
For that reason I think the centre valve block solenoid must be stuffed. or the computer senses a fault some where and shuts the whole system down.

Any thoughts or can anyone point me in the right direction or what to try next.. Does anyone know what voltage the solenoids require to engage?

When does the message occur? If its a short while after startup then its likely the compressor is not be able to increase the reservoir pressure quickly enough.

That centre valve block only houses the reservoir valve and pressure sensor. The reservoir is only attempted to be replenished once the vehicle is at the target height.

The solenoids operate at 12 volts.
