The Cooper AT3 in a LT is a strong tyre with a reasonably aggressive tread for a AT.
    They are also very quiet.

I've noticed some D3s with Toyo road biased tyres fitted. Anybody had any experience with these?

    Hi Jools.
I agree with the all the comments on the Wrangler AW HP's. Mine made a racket from about 30-40K km's and after reading this forum and considering my road bias went for the Toyo Open Country HT's. They were a lot quieter than the OEMs at the time of replacement and seemed a very long wearing tyre. I'd lost 3mm in about 45K. They were OK on sand and scampering up dry hills.

I'll definitely consider them again when I replace my OEMs... yes...upgraded from a MY10 to a MY13 and hoping for a change (Continentals or Pirelli's) got the Good Year's again...doh

    Cheers,
    John

Go for a 'fast' drive in the defender and then get back in the disco. Then quit your quibble

Oh here we go. Someone from the muddy boot brigade complaining that the loudest noise in a D4 is your soy milk latte slopping around in your keep warm mug.

Does anyone have solution for this? Its driving me mad. I'm seriously considering drinking my coffee before I get in the car.

Since it isn't a problem in defenders maybe opening the windows a bit to imitate the defener may solve it?

Try it with almond milk rather than soy. The less dense milk reduces the slopping noise by half. And perhaps a better insulated mug?
