OL seem to have two SWC
One looks like front runner one with no required lights
Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 Wheel Carrier | Wheel Carriers | Opposite Lock
May be worth looking at
I am trying to get one for my d4
Just need to get someone to answer emails sent

I haven't fitted that particular one but the one I have would be very similar.
You need to cut the end off the bar behind the bumper and bolt the piece for the carrier on, pretty straight forward if you are handy with tools. Hardest part was getting the nuts on the bolts, and drilling the right size hole in the plastic bumper.

I've got this one fitted (Discovery 3/4 RHS Single Wheel Carrier | Wheel Carriers | Opposite Lock) but the Opposite Lock guys fitted it. They said they had a bit of trouble getting the alignment just right but they managed it. It's a good wheel carrier, haven't had any problems and it's been through some pretty horrid corrugations like the Cape Leveque road and through the Kimberlies up to Mitchell Falls and back.
Cheers, keen on the outback carrier as has the gas strut to hold open without having to fiddle with a locking mechanism, particularly on slopes. I think I will give it a go as need to save some cash for the long range tank.
Speaking of which, any advice re fitting tanks?
The outback one covers your rear lights and hence needs the additional light on the carrier.
The new OL one, which looks like the front runner SWC, I mentioned above has gas struts and does not need the light as it does not block the rear lights.
I am thinking this makes it better but would like to hear if any one has a different opinion as I am looking as well. Mind you the OA seems good.
Re aux tanks I am leaning towards the OA 92 litre tank which is gravity filled.
I can see good and bad in these. There is no gauge but you don't need one I suppose as you sort of use your fuel gauge as the gauge. I had a LRA one on a previous car and the gauge broke very early on and I lived without it easily.

I choose the Old over Kaymar and was very happy with it. with the gas struts it was kept open until I closed it, wife did manage to close it as well without issues. kids would have had a hard time closing it though.
I bought the latest Dolium single RWC specifically made for the D4 through OL. There is some issue at the moment and it may be unavailable. I believe it's made in South Africa by Frontrunner. Note that it has a catch similar to the old 4x4 DE
Thanks Goaroving. Your photo seems to show a long range tank, what make is it and did you fit it yourself?
Yes it's a long range tank by LRA and it was fitted by Ritters. Bit more expensive but they do a good job (in my opinion).
