D3 operating costs for different engines

We've only had our HSE V8 a few weeks but are suitably impressed - PULP Fuel in the Bowen Basin is $1.64lt (ouch!!) Wife (who has seconded the vehicle) is geting around 460km from 3/4 of a tank driving to / from work

Comfort, controls & overall functionality are excellent (compared to our old SR5 Hilux)

$1.99 here in Darwin. Lucky it's only my postie bike that gets it and it doesnt need much.

Check out Fuelly.com. It realy handy for calculation fuel use.

Fuel gauges vary too much to use "3/4 of a tank" for a calculation

Cheers, we're heading 'back home' to Darwin in the next month or so, QLD is.......OK, but it's not the Territory (sick of Black Coal Dust over everything)

Tank to Tank fuel is sitting around 12.9 - can do a little better with the CC set at 105 kmh (dread to think what the missus will do when she gets back to the 130kmh limits)

Hope the lads at the Howard Springs Tavern don't take too much pi$$ when they see the Hilux has gone....always got the Harley I spose
