I got 5 D697 @ $360 each unfitted at Bridgestone Select in Box Hill. Then took them to Tyre Power in Camberwell to have fitted.
Very happy with the choice of Bridgestone.

Yesterday I had 5 x D697 fitted. Look excellent, spare fits as long as you remove the tow hitch first.
Nice and quiet on the highway.
Cost $405 ea fitted and balanced.

I bought the Yoko 265/60/18 recently. Only done 3000 km so far. No problems on the road, but yet to get off road with them. They have a good reputation from what I have seen on this and other forums. My main driver for getting them was price - St George Tyres in Arncliffe $250 each (http://www.stgeorgetyres.com.au/productstyres.aspx?widthid=60&profileid=74&diamete rid=85&PageURL=tyres)
(obviously a grey import).
Cheers

I have 9 BMW X5 rims for sale in the markets section and 5 of those are fitted with Kumho AT KL78s with only 20,000ks on them, IN 265/70/17, I am willing to sell the 5 with the Kumho's on seperately.

Hi Baz - I saw you ad as well. Can I ask why you are changing from the BMW rims - how have you found them.
I have four that I have not used as yet - I will probably put Maxxis Bighorns on them when the time comes to use them.
Cheers
Garry
i just put on a set of maxxis bighorns 275/65/18. Used some lifter rods from Gordon at Green Oval.
other than some decent road noise on bitumen they seem to work fine. Im not sure they will fit without the rods, but ive tried in access mode and there is no rubbing when turning etc
Continental cross contact at - had them 6mths and been very happy. And I got them for $315 each in Sydney
x2,
I have had mine on for over 3 yrs and done between 50,000 - 60,000 km on them and they have at least another 10,000 km before need replacement.
Mostly on road but a reasonable amount of off road including a number of trips in the Vic High Country and I have found them to be very good.
Reasonably aggressive for an A/T tyre and I have not and any punctures. The side wall is a bit soft and prone to damage so you need to be careful in sharp rocky country, I cut one side wall badly enough that it needed to be replaced.
Road noise is minimal and they have given me good mileage as noted above.
Not sure how they will go in snow and the tread will likely fill up quickly but I imagine anything less than a very aggressive mud tyre would do the same ?
I will likely go away from them for the next set but this is just to try something else not because I am unhappy.

Sorry I missed this Garry, I managed to score 5 Disco 3 alloys with BFG KM2s on them for a very good price, also picked up 3 extra bare rims for a very good price also, I transferred my best of the KM2s from my X5 rims onto the 3 bare rims and now have eight, six for the car and two for the camper.
