I have a subscription to Land Rover World as well and enjoy it. This month has an add for the Lynx Diagnostic interface. Has anyone used this?
Hi Cannock,
I agree, LROI and LRM, also still get 4X4 Australia still has a bit of good stuff in it.
I picked those points up as well Jools.
Kinda puts you off a D4 if you believe what you read. Pretty poor power & torque figures for a modern day 3.0Lt Turbo diesel.......with a chip?
The 18" wheel bit ****es me off as well. The odd mag does mention that 18" wheels are available, but most mention that you are stuck with 19's.
Cheers, Craig

The last time I read one of these magazines was over a year ago and the main article was a comparison of the D4 against the usual suspects.
While it was rated highly (came in second), the premise of the loss to the LC200 was completely flawed....it outscored the LC200 on every test but sand climb and the ride on gravel when at Off-road height. Even though they admitted the drivers stuffed the run up to the sand (made it easily second time round) and the ride issue may have been the standard 19" UHP tyres at max pressure.
However, what really stuck in my craw was the fact that many of the criticisms were either blatant operator error or ignorance of the cars functions and features and complete silliness...."the Multi-Mode TC is very complicated to use"....WTF....its a knob you turn once!!! "The difficult to get to recovery points"....a 20c coin, two fasteners front and back and viola...and of course the Handbook even recommends removing these BEFORE going off-road. Many comments like that.
What did make me laugh was the fact that will all the inaccuracies, stupidity and one-eyed-ness, they still couldn't stop it coming in second....LOL!!!
Rubbish magazine.
Agreed the RRC of NSW is well worth joining and they provide excellent driver training courses as part of the membership fee as well as a monthly mag.
A number of Aulro members with other models often used to joke and laugh on here about being up at Stockton beach and seeing all the dumb RRC members bogged up in the sand hills and how useless they were.
In reality they take you up there for a one day course, then make you get bogged and then teach you how to rescue yourself. This was repeatedly missed by the Defender brigade who failed to understand what was happening.
yes I read that as well and was wondering when Graham moved to the UK...
left a synopsis of our comments here on OL Facebook page lets see what they answer
