Just watched a show on TV about Australia's Iconic Places,,, all very beautiful of course, and certainly to see most of them up close and personal, you need a 4X4,,
In all of the images I conjured up of being there,,, not once did I see myself, or anyone else, in a Disco,,, we were all there in Defenders,,
I will never never post defender and discovery in this forum again, your all MAD I tell you!
It is just fair information for people weighing up the idea of what to buy and how much you get for your money, I know you can't put a price on enjoyment,
here is an interesting quote
“The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn't any other test. If the machine produces tranquility it's right. If it disturbs you it's wrong until either the machine or your mind is changed.”
― Robert M. Pirsig,
Ummmm food for though.

Anything that stirs up the Defender bridgade is a good thing Herr Blick, feel free to post another similar thread in another month or so.
It will always gets a bite or twenty. ...;)
August last year the son's Puma was driven non stop, three drivers in shifts from Oodnadatta to Birdsville,22 hours.
The other vehicle in the group,a Patrol tray back was left in Cooper Pedy the day before with broken upper spring mounts.
The Puma was overloaded as most of the gear from the Patrol was in and on the roof of the Puma.
The deefer never missed a beat.
Fuel economy not known,no worries with b doubles either:angel:
Yes yes the discovery is a better car, defender the best 4x4... same conclusions time and time again...
