Every bolt has locktite, I built it up with a mate so we double checked everything and took our time with it.

There is a faint gap between the deflectors though, will need to check why that's there.

    Looks a million Russ.
Let us know how it goes with wind noise and the average fuel consumption.
    Cheers

No wind whistle Andy. Notice slightly more wind gust sound, to be expected though was a bit windy on the way home plus freeway. Not much difference really. Will let you know on consumption.

Don't understand how wind noise is differing so much, there should only be one wind shield available for this rack atm... aside from the older one

AJM that gap will be you're problem i reckon, we put mine together with no gap and there's zero whistle

Mine has a gap of about 1mm but as stated no wind noise up to 110kph.

However mine is a 3/4 rack not a full length like Russrobe's.

I can handle the extra slight "whooshing" sound, but a whistle would drive me mad.

My full length slimline arrived this week and set about doing an install.

Part way in have hit a snag, my D4 came with the short factory rails. On removal realise I will need a new rubber seal for the gutter before I can install the Frontrunner.

Does anyone know what that part is called and if there is a supplier in Australia other than dealers (who I assume can get it)?

    Cheers
